This is my first year at St. Joe's and I LOVE IT HERE!  I am honored to be teaching sixth grade Science, Social Studies and English.  Coming from a large, Catholic family in Latonia, I went to Holy Cross High School and later studied Art and Theology at Bellarmine University.  I was then certified and completed my Master's in Education at Mount St. Joseph College and am specialized in inclusive Education and the Orton-Gillingham approach to Reading.  Although I have been teaching for 14 years, I feel energized and thrilled to be a teacher each and every day.  I pride myself on being open-minded, creative and flexible and always having the main goal in mind:  learning.  One of my main goals as a teacher is to get to know my students well, to treat them as individuals, and to create work on their level, taking into account their personal strenghts and weaknesses.  My students describe me as being "fun," "kind," and "fair" and enjoy the family atmosphere I create in my classroom.  My own family is thrilled about our decision to switch parishes and schools from St. Augustine to St. Joe's and has also recently become official citizens of Villa Hills.  I see myself teaching junior high students at St. Joseph Elementary for many years to come and am honored to be working with the great leadership and commitment of St. Joe's principal, faculty, staff and families!
